For our customer, Europe´s leading provider for renewable energy, we are looking for a Technical Manager, Wind (f/m/d) in Germany.

Your role:

  • Manage the technical workstreams, in support of the project manager, from early development until start of operation of the wind farm
  • Act as a technical expert within either wind turbines, grid connection or civil engineering
  • Participate in interactions with wind turbine suppliers to ensure best market knowledge
  • Technical lead in due diligences of potential acquisitions
  • Prepare and quality assure technical specifications in wind turbine tenders
  • Technical lead during procurement processes
  • Act as work package responsible for wind turbine and/or BOP contracts in the construction phase
  • Support other units of our customer as required with technical competence and understanding
  • Manage technical disciplines in a project

Your profile:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar with documented extensive experience in the field
  • Minimum 8-10 years relevant work experience in wind projects development and construction, and preferably in Germany
  • Strong understanding of the development process for wind projects, including constraints analysis, civil engineering, grid connection processes and permitting process
  • Excellent knowledge of wind turbine suppliers and wind turbine models is an advantage
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of renewable energy business models and cost of energy drivers
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated ability to negotiate a strong commercial position for the company with relevant stakeholders
  • Independent self-starter with a clear ability to manage a large workload, often providing support to processes managed by colleagues, while prioritizing tasks and effectively juggling competing deadlines
  • Proactive and solution-oriented with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
  • Experience and interest in taking on project manager role of early phase development and /or the construction phase of a wind project is also of interest
